The family behind the practice.
We're a family business built on a simple idea: you deserve an honest, expert opinion on what you have — from someone with no incentive to inflate or deflate the number.

Lynn Wolf
Client Relations Director
A Rutgers graduate with a background in art, design, and marketing, Lynn directs client relationships and manages the appraisal process end-to-end. She ensures every engagement runs smoothly — from your first call through post-appraisal follow-up — with the personal attention that defines a family practice.
After 20 years in the diamond and jewelry trade, I realized the most valuable thing I could offer people wasn't a sale — it was the truth about what they already own. That's what Just Appraisers was built on.

Our Story
Forty years of independent practice.
From a single GIA credential to institutional partnerships, a Sedona lab serving clients in person and remote, and a methodology that holds up at claim time.
1998
Just Appraisers founded
After two decades buying diamonds and estate jewelry, David transitions to independent appraisal full-time. The premise: clients deserve accurate valuations from someone with no incentive to inflate or deflate them. Independence becomes the practice's central differentiator.
2001
JP Morgan Chase × World Trade Center
JP Morgan Chase contracts Just Appraisers to manage post-loss recovery valuations for jewelry, watches, gemstones, and personal property lost in the World Trade Center attacks. The engagement shapes the post-loss methodology the practice carries forward and leads to the founding of Catastrophic Appraisal Solutions, LLC.
2005
Hurricane Katrina recovery
Catastrophic Appraisal Solutions deploys to New Orleans for large-scale post-loss valuation across displaced and damaged collections. The team builds technology and field infrastructure to scale recovery work — methodology refinements that feed back into standard insurance and post-loss appraisal procedures.
2008
Tropical Storm Fay
The Catastrophic Appraisal Solutions team reunites in Chicago for a complex post-loss appraisal project. Smaller in scale than Katrina, but the kind of unusual engagement that continues to mature the methodology.
2012
Superstorm Sandy
Catastrophic Appraisal Solutions is engaged for post-loss recovery work across affected collections. The network of field appraisers, valuation tools, and intake processes refined over the prior decade is brought to bear — viable research approaches and a seamless process applied to streamline the work at volume.
2018
Sedona becomes home
The practice settles into Sedona, Arizona as its sole physical lab — by appointment, with the same in-person standard of examination the work has always required.
